Miami is not your average-car market. These are just 3 examples of the five limos I see a day. Hondas, Fords, Toyotas and other sensible rides are not favored here. Escalade, Mercedes, Jaguar, Bentley, and Porsche or more Miami-style. Just an FYI.
Yesterday was my first time playing soccer in many many years, but the school has made a habit of students getting together to sweat it out on Sunday afternoons, so I didn't want to shy away from tradition. It was fun. We had a girls' game at 2 and the guys followed at 3p. There were a couple total misses and no real goals, but it was exhilarating and a good time. Afterward, Laura, Leah, and I strolled to the Art Deco Festival that was going on on Ocean Drive. I had a falafel gyro and shared some Frozen Lemonade. Shortly thereafter, I realized how worn out I was and got a ride back with Aria to the apartamento. I didn't do anything for the rest of the day--lazy bum!
So today I MUST WORK; must come up with ideas; must organize my projects; etc. A classmate drew it to my attention yesterday that we really don't have any Free-time. The course is intensive-study style, but at the same time, my Free-time is important to me--it's when I come up with the fabulous ideas that got me into the program in the first place. :P
Our new project is for the NRDC - National Rescources Defense Council. They want a campaign that celebrates their organization while at the same time increases people's interest and participation. I'm glad I'm from Oregon, a state that actually cares about the environment, but I still feel quite removed from this category. I welcome ideas from you readers.
Cheers!

Since you are in the city of CSI Miami, how about a poster depicting a global warming result, I don't know; horrible picture of something and the Miami team on scene with them looking confused (for once) as to how to solve this one and the NRDC showing up to lend a hand. Sounds kitchy I know but we're so into reality TV and shock TV that people only seem to respond to shock value; we're becoming numb. I remember in the movie Batman the Jocker was affecting the items people used everyday and they started not using toothpaste, shampoo etc and I think that's what it's going to take for us Americans to pay attention to Global Warming. Until it hits us in our homes... When our leaders don't care why should we? What role models do we have? Not that he's a role model but put the guy from Fear Factor into some global situation. People identify with him, people from Lost and Survivor can be depicted in some awful situation. People in Europe I think are more of a unified mind as they are all part of the EU whereas we Americans are separatists and feel unaffected by what's going on elsewhere. Somehow we need to be made mindful that we are part of the whole. What affects others affects us too. You'd think 911 would have made us realize that. Good Luck you guys! Having students from around the world should help give you Americans more of a global perspective to brainstorm. I will look forward to seeing more postings as you guys progress. Your class is like summer school at college, really intense and a lot crammed into a short time frame. Makes graduation all that much sweeter.
