South Beach, Fl --Miami Ad School. This is where I'm at. Everyday I get exposed to new types of people and new ways of thinking. A majority of the school is on the Creative Track.Creatives produce things like the artwork to the right. And some of you (including me at times) might think: What? I don't get it. But the Creative person wants you to be excited about it and see its purpose as much as they do. They want you to be passionate about it and feed into it. With ideas, as much as with the picture here, if it's not immediately pleasing, you want to discard it and say "next." As a planner, I need to have a good relationship with this people and gain their trust so that eventually we can mold the artistic process to result in an amazing campaign or solo piece that grabs the intended target's attention. We are in the business of a short attention span. In 2 seconds, we need to say something/communicate a Brand's message/or at least get you to venture further.
We have switched Teams now; 3 projects in, we get to experience different people and how they operate. My first team: Yesenia (copywriter from Miami), Opher (Art Director from Israel, but living in Miami for years), Stefan (planner from Switzerland), and moi got to be the firsts with each other. Yesenia and Opher were great to work with. But I have to say, chasing ideas got exhausting. Yesenia would get so hyped over a simple detail and she'd explore it thoroughly. At the onset of her escapade, I would know she's going on a path that wasn't strategically on, but I had to chase her path to let her know I respected her ideas. As most of you know, I have an issue with patience. Well I am learning a great deal in this arena. It's fun to be a student of human interactions. Cheers~

I like the picture Erin wondered if it was anything to do with your JetBlue airline campaign.. it sort of looks like a jet a bit. It's been interesting to keep up with your escapades and look forward to hearing how the next wave (group) works out together.
Good post.
