The skinny: Current TV is a network of national cable and satellite channels that airs segments that are viewer-created. Sounds like another popular site doesn't? Nope. Current TV is dedicated to ONLY smart, intelligent and cool "pods" or "v-cams." A pod is an informative/news segment. A v-cam is a viewer-created ad message. You will not find "random-ass shit" on Current TV. The company's mission is to give all those creative people in this world an outlet where they can get paid for their ideas. Once a pod or v-cam is uploaded to the site, registered users can participate and give it the Greenlight for future TV air. Once a video or ad receives enough Greenlights then it's up for brand grabs to buy or show interest in AND/OR go on Tv. HOW COOL IS THAT?!
