Account Planning History

Catrina McAuliffe, Director of Brand Planning at Carmichael Lynch in Minneapolis is nothing short of a celebrity in our world: She was one of the original planners in the U.S. when Chiat/Day introduced its discipline in 1982. Stanley Pollitt and J.Walter Thompson were separate parties responsible for the introduction of planning when it first came about in the UK in 1965 & 1968.

Catrina used the word "awesome" a lot this weekend as she told us about Account Planning and the many opportunities for its adoption in industries ranging from architecture to design.

Keep the ideas alive ~ Planning is a brand's conscience and fuel. She said at the rate new communications are being developed and adopted, it will be our generation that re-defines how these communications work and work together. COOL!
